Baghdad Bus Station Bombing


Thursday morning in southwestern Baghdad, a car bomb blast in a bus station wounding 35 and killing at least 20 people.

Almost 40 cars were damaged 40 cars and damaged a half-dozen shops in the predominately Shiite Bayaa neighborhood on 8:15 a.m. attack.

14 others were wounded when two mortar rounds landed in the busy Shurja market in central Baghdad.

A British military spokesman reported three British soldiers were killed and another critically wounded when a roadside bomb struck their patrol in Basra in southern Iraq Thursday morning.
