The soon-to-be-ex-Bektas Ruffa Gutierrez said, “The storm has passed, and life goes on.”
While she and her soon-to-be-ex-husband, Ylmaz are settling the annulment of their seven-year marriage, she isn’t thinking about love, not even dating. That’s why she kept on changing her cellphone number and only few people know her number.
Despite of the recent ugly controversy about her married life with Ylmaz, Ruffa is thankful for the reason that her advertisers haven’t lost faith in her. In fact, she just shot for a product in Malaysia.
Right now, her almost deferred movie Desperadas with Regal has finally started shooting where she is the only remaining original cast who will play the role intended . Iza Calzado replaced Dawn Zulueta, Rufa Mae Quinto takes over Pops Fernandez’ role and Marian Rivera will play Ruffa’s original role. Melanie Marquez will play the role of the four girl’s mother.
Desperadas will be shown on the 1st day of January, 2008 which is one of the nine entries on the Metro Manila Filmfest this December. Also starring Wendell Ramos, Jay-R, TJ Trinidad and Christian Vasquez.
Ruffa's and her brothers Richard and Raymond will hold a fashion show on September 15 called Rampa and also, her new show Kokey with Redford White, Ryan Eigenman, Mylene Dizon, Zanjoe Marudo and Julia Barretto started airing last Monday. And she’s still with her other show The Buzz on ABS-CBN.
