MARIMAR, the Pinoy version telenovela of GMA 7, stirs controversies involving its lead stars, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes.
First is the steamy scences between Marimar and Sergio played by Marian and Dingdong respectively which according to rumors have caused trouble on Karylle, leading man’s real life sweetheart and Dingdong’s relationship, which both lead cast denied the issue.
Next was Marian “to replace” Angel Locsin as GMA 7’s hottest property.
Marian says, she want that tag to come from her bosses at GMA 7 and from the televiewers which she seems to be reluctant to accept such a tag.
Marimar will air its pilot episode on August 13.
