After news spread about Rod Strunk's death, his sister Sharry Grove told the Tracy Press that commiting suicide was something his brother Rod wouldn't have done.
According to her, Rod has been into many tough situations but suicide never came into his mind.She said that there's a tentative plan of a memorial service on July 29 at Good Shepherd Church in Tracy.
From the investigation made by Detective Dean Hicks, a woman reported finding Strunk's body on the ground but nobody saw him falling. Strunk seems to hit the pavement.
No suicide note was found but they (the investigators) saw a chair placed against the wall with his shoe prints which indicate that Strunk was standing on it right before he went over the wall.
