Angelica Panganiban now models and designs shoes

Young actress Angelica Panganiban has slimmed down so dramatically, the movie press couldn’t recognize her at once during the launch of the shoe brand that she's endorsing. Angelica even looks younger now compared to when she was first introduced in TV soap “Familia Zaragoza” back in 1995.

A former child star, Angelica now combines the aura of young girl and a woman's sensual, sexual potency--she looked dainty when she appeared before the media, complete with a huge red ribbon in her hair but that fragility is combined with a steely touighness that you see in her eyes, the set of her jaw.

It's that devastating beauty of a Lolita--in every sense of the Nabokov novel--that makes Angelica such an attention-grabber wherever she goes. No wonder her boyfriend model/actor Derek Ramsay is smitten with her.

Angelica was at the Mario d'Boro launch both as endorser and designer. She doesn't only model the shoes but will also contribute to their creation.

The actress said that she's very excited to present her concepts and designs of ladies shoes to the owner of Mario d’Boro.

“Gusto ko pong makapag-ambag ng talent ko sa design. I will present them to Mr. Peter Banico and get them patented. I hope he’ll like them,” said Angelica, who is now part of the cast of ABS-CBNs newest soap, “Iisa Pa Lamang.”

“Napag-isip-isip ko po kasi na marami pang puwedeng gawin at maisuot na sapatos. Mahilig po kasi ako sa kulay. At sabi ko, makakadagdag ang creations ko sa mga isinusuot kong sapatos sa taping at sa shooting.," she added.

When she's not acting or designing ladies' footwear, she spends time with Derek to, among other things, learn golf.

“Marami pa po akong kailangang matutunan sa golf. Ang sarap pong maglaro ng golf,” she said.

DOJ exempts Revillame from Ultra tragedy case

Willie Revillame, noontime game show host of Wowowee was exempted by the Department of Justice regarding the Ultra Stampede that happened a year and a half ago.


February 4, 2004, when thousands of Wowowee supporters and wannabe millionaires rush in to Philsports Arena in Pasig City as Wowowee celebrates its first year anniversary. Unfortunately, the supposed to be happy celebration was turned into a shocking stampede which killed 71 people.

In a seven-page resolution, Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez approved the petition for review filed by Revillame which sought a reversal of the finding of probable cause for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide and physical injuries by Senior State Prosecutor Leo Dacera III against him.

However, charges will be pursued against 16 other ABS-CBN officers who organized the show, namely Charo Santos-Concio, Ma. Paris Hilton settles $10M defamation lawsuit

Another case closed for the apple of the eye of worldwide media, Paris Hilton.

Hilton has settled a $10 million lawsuit filed by actress Zeta Graff in 2005. She accused Hilton as the source of a story which was published on gossip pages of the New York Post stating that she had attacked her in a London nightclub.

It says in the article that Graff was alleged of attacking Hilton in a jealous fume while the heiress was dancing with Paris Latsis, Graff’s ex boyfriend who also had a relationship with Hilton.

The New York Post story said Graff had tried to grab a diamond necklace from Hilton's neck before being bundle out of the nightclub.

At the end, the case was settled but no report on how much Hilton paid to settle the case.

Gretchen Malalad hit by Bong Alvarez

Former basketball player Bong "Mr. Excitement" Alvarez was brought to the police station when he was reported by barangay officials roughing up Cabanlit,a taxi driver.

According to reports, Alvarez who is intoxicated that time blame the taxi driver of overcharging him by taking a longer route.

At Mandaluyong police station where Bong was brought, former PBB housemate Gretchen Malalad who is also a former Binibining Pilipinas 2002 contestant and a karate gold medallist had her coverage in the same area.

Thinking that Malalad was taking a video of his arrest, Bong pulled her hair, elbowed her in the face and neck and punched her on the forehead who then defend herself by giving several blow on Alvarez. Malalad also suffered some scratches on her neck.

According to Malalad, Alvarez was now detained in the police station she will file a case against Alvarez for physical injury.

With Angel’s transfer, the old rumor surfaced again and adds to numerous rumors that cheapen her morale.

Optical Media Board Chairman Edu Manzano said that they were able to trace the girl who looks like Angel Locsin through the internet, and it was Natt Chanapa.Thai actress and fashion model Natt Chanapa also known as Kesarin Chaichalermpol, Natt Kesarin, or simply Nong Natt by locals, caused a huge scandal not only here in the Philippines but also in Thailand when her hardcore video leaked out.



Angel Locsin on the other hand don’t have any plan yet about filing a case against the person/s responsible on the spread of this video.

Bogus Hollywood Dream?

After giving birth to Tepid Sebastian, which Julia Clarete nicknamed "Beans", she's now back in hosting at Eat Bulaga!

Julia Clarete, married to Stephen Uy last October of 2006, won the reality show "Hollywood Dream" December of 2005.

According to her, she's been waiting for the results and turned down offers given to her assuming that anytime she will be sent to US as her prize for the reality show.

They've been giving excuses to Julia and finally told her that she doesn't have enough credentials as an artist and a neophyte in the business.

She said, she was suppose to be a part of Majika with Angel Locsin, but because of her Hollywood dream, she turned down the opportunity and now she regret it.

There might be cases to be filed against the producer of the show, and for Julia, even if she wasn't able to get her Hollywood Dream, Beans and Steven were her dream come true.

Ali Sotto Broke Her Silence About Angel

Finally, Ali Sotto who was the mother of Angel Locsin’s ex-boyfriend who died in an accident, gave her piece about Angel’s transfer to ABS-CBN network.

In her interview with Butch Francisco at Startalk, Ali broke her silence and gave her piece which concerns the ex-girlfriend of her lost son, Mico Sotto.

Here is a transcript was posted at gmanews.tv by Amita Legaspi.

Ali: Sa dami ng mga tumawag asking for a statement, interviews and people kasi who remember the time when we were close and the circumstances that brought us together and there was a time talaga na we clung to each other after Mico died so siguro yung mga tao yun pa rin yung mga nasa isip nila. The kind of relationship that Angel and I, they though, still have which we don’t. Actually gulong-gulo ako, wala akong definitive statement, wala akong categorical statement about anything because I don’t know where I stand. Ayoko kasing ma-accuse pa na bakit nakikisawsaw pa siya sa issue, akala ng tao close pa kami pero hindi na.

Butch: Kailan tumigil itong pagiging close ninyong dalawa?

Ali: Alam mo months…before nung transfer nya nung pumutok yung balita na yun…actually I think February ..

Butch: Prior to that me communication kayo? Pasko? Bagong Taon? Valentines? Nagkausap ba kayo? Birthday mo?

Ali: So yung important occasions… ah andun siya kay Mico nung November 1st, October 31st actually with Oyo. She’s there but I missed her because kadadating ko lang from States. Christmas, hinde wala. I didn’t get a card, no nothing. Nung birthday naman niya I was calling her up but she didn’t pick up so hindi niya sinagot so siguro naman nakita niya na i missed call but I didn’t get a return call. Tapos nagmother’s day wala, nag-birthday ako, wala. She just moved on, tried to move on.

Butch: Yung hinanakit?

Ali: You know kasi. Alam ko kasi that when she broke off with Oyo Boy di ba time yung issue so ikaw na lang yung dapat umintindi e.

Butch: Ano ba talaga ang pagkakakilala mo kay Angel?

Ali: You know she’s a simple person e. Malambing naman. Parang, ano kaya yun, she just had too much too soon?

Butch: Nagkaroon ba ng pagbabago mula nung that time na tayo-tayo pa lang na hindi pa siya yung Angel Locsin na ….?

Ali: Alam mo hindi fair e. Hindi fair, Butch, kasi nga I’m saying yung Angel na nakilala ko dati nung hindi pa siya sikat…you know people grow e and people change. It is inevitable. Lahat naman tayo di ba. Hindi maiiwasan yun e na maaapektuhan siya nung mga nangyari sa buhay niya. Pag star ka kasi iba e umiikot ang mundo ng maraming tao around you. OK na ko e di ba na hindi na siya nagtetext. Ok lang pa rin. Pero nung pumutok nga yung ano niya..the issues laban sa kanya. I got a text from her from London na parang alam mo yun, nadiskaril ka na naman. Nadiskaril na naman ako, yung sino ba talaga ako sa buhay mo.

Butch: Anong text niya?

Ali: Hay naku..mahaba..

Butch: Abortion issue?

Ali: Even before that. She actually got in touch with Oyo Boy muna and Oyo Boy got in touch with me and we spoke na you know I will not even dignify the issue. Mico is the type naman na ..I’m sure if and when…if it’s true at all di ba delayed pa lang siguro. (Mico will say) ‘Ma. I mean walang tinatago yung bata e.

Butch: Apparently in your heart of hearts naniniwala kang hindi tutuo?

Ali: In my heart of hearts, I do not stand to gain anything.

Butch: So me question mark?

Ali: No, wala. I’m not even going there. Eto na lang pag sinabi niyang hindi tutuo at sinasabi niyang hindi tutuo naniniwala ako at sinabi ni Oyo Boy na ‘Ta hindi tutuo, naniniwala ako kay Oyo Boy.

Butch: Etong plano niyang lumipat syempre hindi siya nagpaalam?

Ali: Wala I was as shocked as everybody else. Thud talaga nung ano…in disbelief talaga that she transferred.

Butch: Was there any point that you felt nagamit ka?

Ali: No. Hindi nagamit because ‘yun na ‘yung dikta ng mga pangyayari…ng how we ended up in each other’s lives. After sometime na she was starting, nung napansin na nga siya at ginu-groom na siya ng GMA and her career was starting to take off and yung parang mga write ups niya would always, almost always mention Mico. After a while ako na ang nagsabi na panahon na you have your own wings na hindi na dapat idikit yung pangalan mo kung papano ka napansin. I hope that you will give that to me na kaya siya napansin was when Mico died. Tama ba ako ‘dun. ‘Yung lang sa akin is bakit ako yung tinatanong ngayon, anong masasabi ko.

Butch: Pero ano sana ang naging payo mo sa kanya dito sa mga pangyayari?

Ali: You know I would have told her na magpaalam ka ng maayos because you cannot refute that e. That GMA 7 made you the big star that you are. Walang argumento, I mean its not arguable na me utang na loob siya. Because people say bakit ba? you know kahit na ikaw nagtatrabaho ka sa opisina pag inoperan ka ba ng triple ng sinasahod mo ngayon lahat tayo lilipat sa kabila, hinde e. It’s not the same. It’s not a perfect analogy because hindi kayo role model, you are not an influence to other people. Hindi ka tinitingala ng maraming tao na iniidolo ka. I would have advised her there’s nothing wrong kung gusto mo lumipat pero give this network the respect that you owe it. Give these people yung consideration, actually love that they have showered you.

Butch: Message kay Angel?

Ali: If I still matter to her, kung me bigat pa yung sinasabi ko sa kanya sana humanap siya ng paraan na mag-sorry sa mga dapat niyang hingan ng sorry. Ako I feel for the people who worked with her and loved her and took care of her and kahit yung mga fans niya na solid Kapuso who feel betrayed dahil lumipat siya. It’s the way she left na the way nagkaroon ng deception and lies from the way I understand it. I will always be here for her naman e because nga hindi ko naman siya pinili. Minsan hindi mo mapili yung mga taong mamahalin mo di ba. ‘Yun lang dumarating sa buhay mo at sana sa susunod yung mga desisyon niya would be with the knowledge na yung ginagawa niya yung epekto no’n ramdam ng maraming umiidolo sa kanya

Butch: Do you regret lahat ng mga battles and mga giyera hinarap mo alang-alang sa kanya.

Ali: Dami kong inaway no. Hindi naman. Kasi ano siya e. Sino pa ba ang tatakbuhan niya. Wala kang regrets if you did it out of love.

Ruffa and Ylmaz: Together Again?

After the controversial exchange of harsh words and filing separation cases to court, Ylmaz flew from Istanbul and is now different from his last interviews.

Lorin and Venice welcomed their father Ylmaz with a bouquet of flowers at NAIA after six months of not seeing each other. He then went to Makati Shangri-La to freshen up.

Ruffa at that time was busy taping for her new show Kokey on ABS-CBN and might see him after the taping.

On the other hand, Annabelle Rama was in Cebu to attend massat the Sto. Niño shrine.

She even wiped her greasy hands on a pink silk Alisha Levine dress treating it like "a napkin", took a repeated bathroom breaks without even closing the door and worst, walking away with more than $14,000 of borrowed apparel.

OK! publicist Brian Strong said the magazine didn't publish the photos in its latest issue because they "weren't up to standard."

The relaunch of 25-year-old singer's career turned into a "heartbreaking day" of ruined designer dresses, dog poop and erratic behavior, said OK! Magazine.
