PMAP celebrates 20 years in catwalks

The Philippine Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP) celebrated their 20th anniversary last September 5 at The Peninsula Manila filled with nostalgia of fashion's past and present.

Two decades ago, Tina Maristela Ocampo, Ronnie Asuncion, and Robert David joined forces and created an organization aiming to “uplift, protect, and professionalize the modeling industry in the Philippines”.

PMAP was the first and only Asian association of models organized by models.

The celebration with a theme "Twenty Years of PMAP," showcased works by Auggie Cordero, Inno Sotto, Rajo Laurel, Ivarluski Aseron, Avel Bacudio, Vittorio, Mike de la Rosa, and Patrice Ramos-Diaz. The creations of Rhett Eala, Lulu Tan Gan, Antonio Garcia, Marden Iglesias, Gerry Katigbak, Jojie Lloren, Dennis Lustico, Anthony Nocom, Randy Ortiz, Frederick Peralta, Renee Salud, and Joey Samson were also modeled by past and current models of PMAP.

Hungary Wants Kissing Title For Good

After overtaking twice the Filipino Record on the most number of couples kissing simultaneously, Hungary wants the record for good.

A kissing event was organized in Budapest and are about to submit video footage and documentations that will support their claim about having a number of 7,451 couples locking lips for ten seconds.

In February of 2004, Filipinos set the Guinness world record of 5,327 couples in Lovapalooza organized by Close Up, but overtaken by Hungary with 5,875 couples in 2005.

A come back record of 6,124 of the Philippines but then again left behind by Hungary in June with 6,613 smooching couples.

And in their recent Sziget festival(pronounced see'-get), Hungary is confident that Filipinos won’t be able to beat their record of 7,451 couples and forever holds the title.
