Boom Boom's First Loss


In a World Cup of Boxing in Sacramento, California, Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista had his first loss in the hands of Mexican boxer, Daniel Ponce de Leon.

In the first round, Bautista was knocked down twice, forcing the referee to stop the fight.

A left straight made Boom Boom’s first knock down, and a one-two combo from his Mexican opponent ends the fight.

WBO junior featherweight crown remains with de Leon. And Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista suffered his first loss in 24 fights.
