Remember this theme? It was from the 80’s well known
cartoon series Transformers.
Last June 27, Transformers was released here in the Philippines before it was
shown on other countries.
It is about a divided group of robots—Autobots and Decepticons, involved in a
war which lead to the destruction of their planet Cybertron. Survivors were
scattered from different parts of the universe and seeks the powerful
life-giving device Allspark which was
lost when it landed on the face of the earth.
The Autobots were:
- Optimus Prime transforms into a Peterbilt Truck who is a wise and powerful leader of the Autobots.
- Bumblebee is a robot that transforms into a Chevrolet (1974/2008) and befriends human particularly Sam Witwicky and communicates with a radio.
- Jazz is the smallest of the Autobots and transforms into a Pontiac Solstice.
- Ironhide is a tough robot soldier which transforms into a GMC Topkick pick-up truck and is always first in battle. He is one of the oldest friend of Optimus prime.
- Ratchet transforms into a Search & Rescue Hummer H2 and is the medic and scientist of the group. This robot has a strong sense of duty to protect life.
The Decepticons were:
- Megatron
transforms to a Cybertronian "jet". He crashlanded on earth and was held frozen by Sector 7. He is the leader held frozen by Sector 7, Megatron desires power over the Allspark.
- Starscream an F-22 Raptor robot and is second-in-command.
- Barricade is a Saleen-modified Ford Mustang police car that transforms into an outsized Robot. He is a hunter who deceives society as a symbol of the law.
- Frenzy is a 2-speaker CD player later turned into mobile phone robot. He is the smallest of the Decepticons. He is a ferocious fighter and spies on humans.
- Bonecrusher transforms into a Buffalo H Mine-Protected vehicle. He is submissive to Megatron whom he fears.
- Blackout is the largest Decepticon which transforms into a MH-53 Pave Lo and is loyal to Megatron.
- Scorponok is a mechanical scorpion, a symbiotic relationship with Blackout, hiding within him until he is commanded to kill.
- Devastator is a Modified M1 Abrams, moody and armed piece of battle fodder.
Sam Witwicky, is a highschool student who wants to raise money to buy a car. He tried to auction though e-bay the glasses of his great-grandfather, Captain Archibald Witwicky which contains the etchings of the coordinates of the location of the Allspark which the Autobots and the Decepticons look for.
The transformers were able to locate Sam through e-bay and learns how to communicate with humans on the world wide web.
This is a collection of humorous, heart melting and giggly scenes and further, full of lessons movie.
It’s a must to see movie! You won’t regret spending money for a movie ticket (and snacks too!).
