Wednesday, Mayor Alfredo Lim announced clearing operations on Divisoria area and the Muelle del Rio Street at the back of the Bureau of Immigration in Intramuros.
Before that, Lim re-opens Carriedo Street and relocated 100 vendors who occupies the closed street and sidewalk. He allocated one square meter of the sidewalk for the vendors that will not block the pedestrians.
Mayor Lim also allowed the use of a portion of Carriedo Street as a parking space for the devotees of the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene during Fridays.
The 77-year-old mayor hopes to ease the traffic by Aug. 15.
Lim also attended other requests of and complaints which causes problem on certain areas.
